{"id":23,"date":"2017-03-22T01:18:36","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T01:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/workshops.ap-lab.ca\/aecai2017\/AECAI2017\/?page_id=23"},"modified":"2017-05-23T02:38:04","modified_gmt":"2017-05-23T02:38:04","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/workshops.ap-lab.ca\/aecai2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join us for the\u00a011th workshop on<strong> Augmented Environments for Computer-Assisted Interventions <\/strong>which will be held in conjunction with<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.miccai2017.org\/\"> MICCAI\u00a02017<\/a><\/strong> in Qu\u00e9bec City, Canada on September 10th.<\/p>\n<h6>OVERVIEW<\/h6>\n<p>In medical imaging, augmented reality environments aim to provide the physician with enhanced perception of the patient either by fusing various imaging modalities or by presenting image-derived information overlaid on the physician&#8217;s view, establishing a direct relation between the image and the patient. This workshop is intended to bring together researchers in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, and clinical medicine engaged in the development of augmented environments for image-guided interventions.<\/p>\n<h6>IMPORTANT DATES<\/h6>\n<p><strong>Paper Submission Deadline:<\/strong> June 12<sup>th<\/sup> @ 11:59 PST<br \/>\nAuthor Notification: June 28th<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>***<\/strong>We&#8217;re happy to announce that this year\u2019s workshop proceedings will be published in a Special Issue on Augmented Environments for Computer-Assisted Interventions of the IET\u2019s HealthCare Technology Letters Journal (IET HTL).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more information about\u00a0submitting your paper click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/workshops.ap-lab.ca\/aecai2017\/AECAI2017\/submissions\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h6>THEMES<\/h6>\n<p>The focus of this workshop is on novel scientific contributions that offer solutions to the technical problems in computer-assisted intervention systems and robotics,\u00a0visualisation and interaction, and medical image computing, as well as papers describing complete systems and clinical applications.
