{"id":30,"date":"2018-03-22T13:31:48","date_gmt":"2018-03-22T13:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/workshops.ap-lab.ca\/cerevis2018\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2018-07-13T18:53:50","modified_gmt":"2018-07-13T18:53:50","slug":"submissions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/workshops.ap-lab.ca\/cerevis2018\/submissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Submissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here you will find all of the information you need to know about the dates, themes, and topics of the workshop, as well as submission guidelines.<\/p>\n<h3>Important Dates<\/h3>\n<p>Submission Deadline:<strong> June 30th, 2018 (new deadline!)<\/strong><br \/>\nAuthor notification: July 23rd, 2018<br \/>\nFinal camera-ready versions: July 30th, 2018<\/p>\n<h3>Prizes<\/h3>\n<p>Cash prizes will be given to the best papers<\/p>\n<h3>Themes and topics<\/h3>\n<p>CereVis is looking for original manuscript contributions, addressing the following subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Neuro-imaging data visualization<\/li>\n<li>Interaction techniques with brain imaging data<\/li>\n<li>Novel graphical data rendering techniques<\/li>\n<li>Image processing methods for multi-modal data fusion and enhancement for improved data visualization in neurosurgical planning and guidance, as well as diagnosis<\/li>\n<li>Open-source software &amp; web platforms for brain data visualization\/interaction<\/li>\n<li>Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) for neurosurgery, diagnosis and training<\/li>\n<li>Novel experimental strategy and metrics to assess visualization and interaction techniques<\/li>\n<li>Cognitive and psychological studies on perception of brain imaging data in surgery and diagnosis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We encourage novel submissions that employ multi-modal imaging data, including MRI, PET, CT, EEG, MEG, videos, and ultrasound, etc. in the applications of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical diagnosis and treatment planning<\/li>\n<li>Surgical interventions<\/li>\n<li>Medical procedure training<\/li>\n<li>Education of neuroscience and neurological pathologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To encourage participants from non-medical domains (who don&#8217;t have clinical data available) we are providing real multi-modal clinical data upon request.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Instruction (new guideline!)<\/h3>\n<p>Submissions to CereVis will be completed using Microsoft&#8217;s Conference Management Toolkit (CMT) system. The authors can use the following link to proceed:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/AECAI2018\">https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/AECAI2018<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s workshop proceedings will be published in a Special Issue in the IET\u2019s HealthCare Technology Letters Journal (IET HTL). All papers accepted for presentation at AE-CAI-CereVis joint workshop 2018 will be published online as E-first publications shortly after acceptance. If time allows, USB formatted or printed copies of the Special Issue will be available at the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>All papers will be formatted according to the IET HTL double-column format templates.
